Having spent more than a decade designing handbags for big-name brands - House of Holland, Jasper Conran, John Rocha, Julien Macdonald, Paul Costelloe - Jane Lanario decided to start designing for herself. And so her leather goods brand, Mabel Sheppard, was born.

Best known for colourful and contemporary leather gloves, which feature everything from hearts and flowers to Ziggy Stardust-inspired lightning strikes, the brand launched just three years ago but is already sold not only in boutiques across the UK, but also in Holland, Denmark and Japan.
