Win a hand-tied bouquet from The Fleur

Lovely hand-tied bouquet? Don't mind if we do...

“You have personality, so should your flowers.” That’s the ethos behind The Fleur at Fornham, the new floristry shop in Fornham All Saints. Founded by Julia Zimmerman - who’s been in the industry since she was 17 and has now, aged 32, realised her dream of opening her own shop - it’s a full-service floristry business, offering everything from same-day bouquets and weekly subscriptions to full wedding and event packages, including buttonholes and bouquets through to custom-decorated arches and moon gates.

“These aren’t your nan’s flowers - even though we’re sure she’d love them,” says Julia, who describes her style as “refreshing, unique, and bursting with energy”.

Believing that blooms can tell a story, Julia aims for her flowers to set the tone, whether they’re creating atmosphere at an event, embodying the emotion of a wedding, or simply brightening your home. “From bright and bold to classy and elegant or wild and edgy, it’s my mission for your friends and family to look at your flowers and say ‘That is so you’,” she explains.

To celebrate the launch of The Fleur at Fornham - and Mother’s Day, which falls this month - we’ve teamed up with Julia to give away a stunning hand-tied bouquet, worth £50. Similar in size to the paper-wrapped hand-tie above, it will showcase both Julia’s style and in-season flowers.

For your chance to win, simply email your name, address and contact number to alice.ryan@velvetmag.co.uk, titling your message ‘The Fleur at Fornham Competition’. Entries should arrive no later than March 16, to allow the prize to be claimed in time for Mother’s Day on March 22, and the usual Ts and Cs apply; if you’re happy to be contacted by Iliffe Media and its partners, add ‘Please Contact’.
