WIN: £40 Badger's Chilli Kitchen cookery kit

To celebrate the launch of its subscription box, we've teamed up with the St Neots chilli brand to give away a £40 cookery hamper

Founded by St Neots chef Lee Farina, a man on a mission “to put fire in your belly”, Badger’s Chilli Kitchen is known for its signature spicy sauces, seasonings, relishes and snacks - and now it’s added a subscription box service, showcasing a different recipe each month, to the menu.

“The aim is to make it easy for even the most novice cook to elevate their meals to a whole new level of taste and enjoyment,” explains Lee, a career chef who worked in Michelin star kitchens before launching his chilli brand in 2016. Containing a recipe card, key ingredients and a bonus mystery gift, all for £20, the monthly boxes promise “fantastic, easy-to-prepare meals that will inspire you and light up your tastebuds,” he adds.

It was a windowsill chilli plant that first inspired Lee to start experimenting. The result was his now-infamous Original Reaper hot sauce, which proved such a hit, it sparked a whole sauce collection, today ranging from mild/sweet (Lemon Drop) and medium/sweet (Orange Habanero) to blow-your-head-off (Badger XXX, Armadgeddon ‘The End’), plus the relishes, seasoning mixes and spicy snacking nuts.

Selling via markets, independent retailers and online store, at badgerschillikitchen.co.uk, Lee explains the brand takes its name from his school nickname, Badger. “I believe we can all have fun exploring new and adventurous flavours in our food,” he adds, “and that’s really what Badger’s Chilli Kitchen is all about.”
