Dino-mite adventure awaits at Jurassic Arcade where fearless explorers can track down a terrifying Tyrannosaurus, come face-to-face with a razor-toothed Troodon and chance upon a Ceratosaurus.

Six colossal creatures including a Plateosaurus, Kentrosaurus and Triceratops, are currently stomping the grounds of Grand Arcade.

The prehistoric beasts, who last wowed Cambridge shoppers in 2023, are accompanied by a gargantuan dino egg, which daring visitors can clamber inside for a memorable picture.

Younger shoppers have the opportunity to hang out with adorable baby dinos in an interactive 30-minute experience, The Dinoshow, taking place on the first floor.

There’s a free trail map giving visitors information on where each dinosaur is located, along with exciting offers to be redeemed at Grand Arcade stores including Bloom Juice and Polarn O.Pyret.

And for fact-lovers, each interactive statue is accompanied by specialist, educational information created in collaboration with experts at the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences, University of Cambridge.

Julie Kervadec, Marketing Manager at Grand Arcade, says: “After the hugely positive response the event received in previous years, I am delighted to bring Jurassic Arcade back to Cambridge. Events like this transform Grand Arcade into so much more than just a shopping destination — it becomes a lively community hub, filled with free entertainment, hands-on learning, and exciting collaborations with local schools and The Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences. We can't wait to welcome everyone for another unforgettable experience!”

Younger dino lovers have the opportunity to get creative in Grand Arcade’s CAMsaurus challenge, designing their very own CAMsaurus dinosaur. Submissions will be judged by Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences’ team and a talented winner will have their creation turned into their very own one-of-a-kind soft toy.

There’s also be a vibrant array of mini T-Rex sculptures, created by six local schools, on display, with visitors invited to choose their favourite masterpiece. The triumphant school will be awarded a £300 gift card to put towards school equipment.

Sally Collins, Learning and Engagement Manager at Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences, enthuses: “We are delighted that Jurassic Arcade is back again! Our team thoroughly enjoyed supporting the Grand Arcade in inspiring budding palaeontologists during the 2023 event, and we look forward to seeing lots of creative designs in this year's competition. We also welcome all visitors to drop in and see us over the road at the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences. We have dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals to explore, as well as fossils to handle, and admission is free. We'd love to see you!”
