Out & About: Take a mood-boosting walk through Cambridge's Botanic Garden
One of the best ways to beat the January blues? Take a walk. . .
It’s proven to release mood-boosting endorphins: with Blue Monday looming on January 20, now’s the time to take a walk.
Need an added incentive to wrap up and head out? The team at Cambridge University Botanic Garden - which spans 40 landscaped acres in the city and is home to some 8,000 plants, from ancient specimen trees to rare hot-house exotics - are running free Winter Interest Tours every Saturday from January 12 through to February 23.
A chance to see the Garden through expert eyes, the tours take place at 11.30am and 2pm and anyone is welcome to join, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Normal admission applies. Visit botanic.cam.ac.uk for full details.
