This year's Christmas Craft Market at Stowmarket's Stonham Barns Park is set to be the most festive yet, as Velvet discovers

A visit to the Christmas Craft Market at Stonham Barns Park is more than a shopping opportunity: promising mince pies, mulled wine, live music, a festive selfie set-up and even the chance to meet Santa himself, there's fun to be had for all the family.

"Christmas is all about memories and we are planning to make this our biggest and best Christmas event yet, with Santa’s Grotto, a funfair for the children, train rides, bouncy pillow, face painting and delicious food and drinks," says events manager Fraser Carson.

"We are hoping to make this an extravaganza of all things festive so that people can relax, unwind and look forward to the Christmas period. The gift ideas will all be there, as well as lots of Christmas traditions and activities that will help to kick-start the celebrations this year."

Running November 26 and 27, from 10am to 4pm both days, the market will feature uniquely handmade, hand-crafted gifts and product, by local artists and artisans, mostly made in Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex. In addition, visitors will be able to visit the retail village, home to arts and crafts shops, the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, Carters of Suffolk pottery and the newly enhanced tearooms.
