What’s On: Merry makers

Deck the Halls with inspirational art this year, which you’ll find in abundance at Byard Art’s Christmas Cracker exhibition.

Running right up to December 24, the visual feast features an array of original art, jewellery, and craft from more than 50 artists and designer makers. There’s paintings, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media artwork and limited edition prints.

Look out for the magnificent collages of contemporary British artist Maria Rivans, who creates fantastical pieces, merging Surrealism and Pop-Art, suffused with vivid colour and arresting imagery. And check out the divine paintings of Dawn Stacey, capturing the wonders of wildlife and nature, from the intricate patterns on frozen leaves to birds in glorious flight.

There’ll also be handmade Christmas cards and decorations. Pop along to find a one-of-a-kind gift – or just blow the festive budget by splashing out on something marvellous for yourself!
