Booking: Christmas calligraphy and wreath-making

The Chestnut Group is hosting a series of fabulously festive experiences at its venues in Suffolk and Cambridge - and they're booking now

With online searches for ‘Christmas’ already double last year’s record high (according to John Lewis, which opened its virtual decorations department earlier than ever as a result), it seems we can’t wait to get into the festive spirit. Ho, ho, ho, then, for the Chestnut Group, which has just opened booking on a series of seasonal experiences.

In November, Kirstie Bird of London’s Ink & Flow, whose clients include Selfridges and Diptyque, will run Christmas Calligraphy workshops at four of Chestnut’s Suffolk properties. Aimed both at complete beginners and those who’ve attended Kirstie’s sessions before, places cost £50, and you’ll leave with the skills to create your own cards and tags, plus a calligraphy starter kit to use at home.

In December, East Anglian event florist Amelia Cornish will lead wreath-making classes at five Chestnut venues across Suffolk and Cambridge. Tickets cost £75 to include all the materials - foliage, flowers, tools - you need to make a wreath for your door, plus festive treats and tipples to enjoy while you work.

If you’ve missed IRL events as much as we have, maybe book both?
