Book: Unmissable alfresco movies from Star & Mouse
Pretty Woman, Top Gun, A Star is Born: be wowed by this summer's line up from Star & Mouse, the 'trinket cinema' which pops up in lovely locations
Ohhh, how we’ve missed seeing movies on the big screen! Happily, The Star & Mouse Picture Show has just cut the ribbon on a summer of drive-in and open-air cinema events.
If you’re new to the Cambridge-based pop-up, it’s billed as “trinket-cinema: a sparkly little affair, with enchanting festoon lighting and dressing up boxes, with fire-pits for warmth and deck chairs for comfort”. What could be more inviting?
The season includes open-air screenings at Madingley Hall, Cambridge (Knives Out, The Peanut Butter Falcon; July 30 and 31), the River Cam Film Festival (The Gentlemen, Top Gun, Jurassic Park, A Star is Born; August 13-15) and Suffolk’s Helmingham Hall (Walk the Line, Pretty Woman, Top Gun, Jurassic Park; August 26-29).
All events are dog-friendly, Covid-safe and promise pre-film entertainment and delicious food and drink, too.
