Art: Fitzbillies immortalised to mark 100 years

To celebrate 100 years of Fitzbillies , the Chelsea-bun-selling Cambridge institution, city-based artist Jasmin Yang-Spooner has immortalised both branches of the cafe in watercolour. Commissioned by owners Alison Wright and Tim Hayward, she painted the buildings - perfect in every period detail: the Art Nouveau window of the Trumpington Street cafe is a delight - for a series of celebratory greetings cards, now on sale at both Fitzbillies and in her Etsy shop.

Yasmin studied History at Oxford and International Relations at Peking University and the LSE before coming to Cambridge and deciding to put her self-taught art and illustration skills into professional practice. Taking commissions as well as selling her own designs, inspired by everything from botanicals to her former home city of Beijing, more of her work can be found @jasminyang_art on Instagram.
