Art: Dinky Doors go under hammer for Street Aid
Want to own an artwork by ‘Cambridge’s Banksy’? Now’s your chance. . .
If you shopped at Cambridge’s Grand Arcade in the run-up to Christmas, you’ll likely have spied the trail of Dinky Doors Presents - tiny art installations in the shape of ribbon-topped parcels, each opening to reveal a wee scene - set out around the mall.
A chance to buy a one-of-a-kind artwork and support a great cause in the process, the artworks are going under the hammer this month. The sale will raise funds for Cambridge Street Aid, to support local people in need, and Dinky Doors - the anonymous street artists dubbed ‘Cambridge’s Banksy’ - to fund further street art for the city.
Celebrity auctioneer Charles Hanson - Bargain Hunt, Flog It!, Antiques Road Trip - will lead the sale on January 26 and advance bids can be placed here: https://uk.givergy.com/GrandArcadeAuction/?controller=home
