Art: Be transported by this Cambridge exhibition
Inspired by myth, folk tales, fashion and fantasy, Lost in Reverie at the city's Leper Chapel promises to transport visitors to a dream world
Immerse yourself in a captivating array of art, from mythical figures and abstract imagery to animals and artefacts, at a new exhibition housed within one of Cambridge’s most historic buildings.
Step across the threshold of The Leper Chapel on Newmarket Road to discover thought-provoking works from seven artists in the Lost in Reverie exhibition.
Visitors are invited to ‘explore, muse, meditate and daydream’ their way around the 900-year-old church whilst marvelling at the imagination and creative processes of the artists involved.
Launching on November 25, the showcase of drawings, paintings and prints, is inspired by myth, folk tales, fashion, fantasy and dreamscapes, exploring the fine line between conscious and subconscious, private and public.
Dating from around 1125, The Leper Chapel, which was originally built as part of an isolation hospital for lepers, is the second oldest complete building in Cambridge.
