Welcome to Cambridge’s luxurious apartment-style hotel, The Fellows House, a unique place to stay in the heart of the city, featuring locally curated art, an on-site wellness area and delicious plant-based dining
With its rich history, magnificent landmarks and world-renowned sights, Cambridge is the picture-perfect city for sightseeing. And there’s now a luxurious new hotel which visitors can retreat to after an exhilarating day of punting on the River Cam, touring pristine college grounds, museums, galleries and shops. . .
The Fellows House Cambridge – a 131-room apartment-style hotel, which is part of the exclusive Curio Collection by Hilton - opened its elegant doors on July 1.
Located on Milton Road, a stone’s throw from Jesus Green, it boasts an array of exquisite rooms, named after illustrious folk associated with the city, including notable Cambridge fellows such as Kipling, Newton, Gormley and Attenborough.
There are also stylishly furnished one-bedroom apartments and studios, featuring fully equipped kitchens – including the split-level Fellows Duplex.
Adding to the bespoke feel, the hotel is decked out with unique pieces of artwork and sculptures, all designed locally in Cambridge.
Plus there’s an indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam room, for a spot of R&R.
Steve Cassidy, managing director of Hilton UK & Ireland, says: “We are thrilled to open this unique property in the historic city of Cambridge. It has something for everyone, offering the perfect base to return to after a long day of exploring, working or studying.”
Julian Hudson, general manager of The Fellows House, Curio Collection by Hilton, adds: “Situated in the heart of Cambridge, our exciting new opening is ideally located to experience the entire city, alongside offering an indoor wellness and courtyard area and a delicious café, restaurant and bar.”
The hotel promises culinary excellence, with its signature restaurant, The Folio Bar & Kitchen, serving plant-based dishes and British comfort classics, using locally sourced ingredients, with dishes ranging from roasted cauliflower steak to beetroot wellington.
Its other eatery, The Sage of Cambridge, is a coffee shop by day, serving vibrant, health-conscious options including wraps, smoothies and vegan salads, alongside freshly baked breads and pastries, and transforms into a buzzing wine and aperitifs bar after 5pm.
Further facilities include bike hire, a spacious onsite car park, including multiple electric car charging ports, and the Hawking Suite boardroom (ideal for events or private dining), which has direct access to The Fellows Garden and The Observatory.
The Fellows House is the first Curio Collection by Hilton to launch in the city, and the second Hilton property in Cambridge – and joins a global portfolio of more than 100 one-of-a-kind hotels and resorts, handpicked for their distinctive character and unique charm. We can’t wait to book in!
