A chance to eat, drink, shop and learn in the process, Ely Markets’ Vegan Fair is back this month. Velvet feels the plant power
Bringing together some of the region’s most vibrant and innovative vegan traders and producers, Ely Markets’ ever-popular Vegan Fair is an invitation to soak up the atmosphere, try some delicious food and discover more about the health and wellbeing benefits of following a vegan lifestyle.
For such a small city, Ely has a very strong vegan community. Ely Markets has always taken an innovative approach to vegan food, supporting their vegan traders and helping them find a permanent place at their weekly markets. Now in its fourth year, the Vegan Fair brings together this wonderful network of producers and stallholders in one place.
“Ely Market is now a real destination for vegan food,” says Lizzi Flaherty of Food by Lizzi. “We want to show people that being vegan isn’t just about restricting your diet, it’s a compassionate way of thinking that will change your whole life for the better. Everyone’s welcome at the Vegan Fair – old and new vegans, or just the curious.”
Ely Markets’ Vegan Fair will take place on Saturday, October 19, 9am-3pm. The Vegan Fair will be on the High Street, while the regular Saturday Craft, Food & Vintage Market will take place on the Market Place and Dolphin Lane as usual. See elymarkets.co.uk for more.
