Ad: Booking now: March events at Fellows House

From cocktail classes and supper clubs to a wellness workshop, top Cambridge hotel The Fellows House has a whole programme of events to book now

Whether you want to master the art of mixology, dine in style at a supper club or find a moment of calm with a wellness workshop, Cambridge’s The Fellows House hotel is the place to go.

Since opening last year, the Curio Collection by Hilton hotel on Milton Road has become known for its luxurious apartment-style accommodation, relaxed cafe, refined restaurant, buzzing bar and fully-equipped fitness centre and pool, along with its striking art-filled interiors, inspired by the University and its Fellows, hence the name.

And now the venue is hosting a calendar of special events each month - and we’re all invited! The March line-up kicks off with a free evening of Coffee & Conversation to mark International Women’s Day (Tuesday, March 8, 7pm to 9pm). Featuring a talk on the inspirational women of the University of Cambridge - those “who rose to the challenges, shaped the history of Cambridge and, in doing so, inspired many others around the world” - tickets are free to book HERE. A mini drinks and tapas menu will also be available for purchase on the night.

Billed as a chance to “sip on an espresso martini and get creative on canvas”, Cocktails & Canvas will be led by Penny of Cork and Canvas Cambridge, who will help you discover your inner artist while enjoying an expertly mixed cocktail (Tuesday, March 22, 7pm to 9pm). Priced £35, to include canvas, paint and brushes to use during class and a cocktail, book tickets HERE.

An opportunity to “mingle with fellow diners over a delicious three-course menu”, next on the diary is the March Supper Club at The Sage, the hotel’s elegant main restaurant (Thursday, March 24, 7pm to 9pm). In line with The Sage’s seasonal-dining ethos, the March Club celebrates the very best of early spring produce, including both wild garlic and purple sprouting broccoli, with a starter of trufi with homemade wild garlic pesto and cherry tomatoes followed by a main course of whole mackerel with herby couscous and lemon-dressed broccoli and a dessert of coconut and kiwi parfait. Priced £25, book tickets HERE.

Taking place in the hotel’s peaceful and picturesque courtyard space, known as The Fellows Garden, the Spring Wellness Workshop (Saturday, March 26, 9am to 12noon) combines a 60-minute vinyasa flow yoga session with a nourishing plant-based brunch, with menu options including chocolate and orange porridge and avocado on toast with your choice of egg: fried, poached, or tofu scramble. Priced £35, book tickets HERE.

Bringing the March events calendar to a close, a “fun and 100% interactive” Cocktail Making Masterclass (Thursday, March 31, 7pm to 9pm) will see the hotel’s resident master mixologist teach you how to make two Instagram-worthy cocktails, with each guest shaking up their own drinks using equipment, spirits, fresh juices and fruits provided - plus you’ll be given a recipe card to take away, so you can recreate them at home. Priced £25, book tickets HERE.
