A season of safety: Illuminating December with Purple Flag initiatives in Cambridge
Sponsored feature with Cambridge BID
As the festive spirit fills the air, our commitment to safety in the night-time economy in Cambridge takes centre stage this December.
Partnering with esteemed organisations such as NightLite, street pastors, St John's Ambulance, and dedicated taxi marshals, we are proud to support the Purple Flag initiative. We want you to have a safe and fun night out and when the sun sets, the purple flag rises.
Available over December we will have the Guardians of the Night: our Street Pastors every Saturday who are there to aid in welfare and safety around the city.
NightLite will also be open on Saturday’s if you’re needing a safe space to go to.
On Friday 15th December and New Year’s Eve, St John Ambulance will be out and about if you need an extra hand in the evening. We also want to help with navigating safely home: With the assistance of taxi marshals, we guarantee a seamless and secure exit for our guests, contributing to a worry-free end to their night. Taxi marshalls will be at both the St John’s location and Petty Cury.
We are confident that you will have a safe night out however, if you need to report a non-emergency incident, call 101 or 999 in case of emergency. Please speak to a member of staff with in a venue if you need support.
