Event: National Business Women's Awards are back!

The search is on for the country's most talented and dedicated female entrepreneurs. Velvet, media partner for the 2021 National Business Women's Awards, reports

Celebrating incredible women in business and industry across the country, the National Business Women’s Awards are back for 2021 - and Velvet magazine is proud to be a media partner.

With 21 categories, ranging from Micro Business Woman of the Year and Best New Business right through to Corporate Leader and Lifetime Achievement, the awards are now open for entries.

"It is easy to run out of superlatives to describe the women honoured in these awards,” says Damian Cummins, awards director at Events & PR, the organisation behind the honours. “We are proud and delighted to be back to celebrate yet another plethora of amazing achievers, who work tirelessly to ensure their businesses thrive - often while raising a family too.”

Introduced last year, the Lockdown Leader and Business Chameleon categories are returning to recognise those who have thrived and blossomed during the Coronavirus crisis, from providing job security and strong, decisive leadership to a team, to completely adapting a business service or product to meet a new need.

"Over the last 12 months, many female business owners and managers have had to work even harder to keep their businesses going through a pandemic whilst facing personal challenges such as home schooling, family isolation or caring for their parents,” adds Damian. “The business world is full of these talented individuals and we look forward to seeing entries showcasing their impressive successes, despite the challenges of the pandemic."

Candidates have until Thursday, August 5 to enter the awards. Each candidate can enter up to three categories, at a cost of £65 + VAT per entry. The Lifetime Achievement and Business Hero categories are free to enter.

“As long-term champions of women in business, we are delighted to be media partnering these awards for a second year,” says Velvet editor Alice Ryan, who is also joining the judging panel. “Firm believers that people and personalities make a brand stand out from the commercial crowd, we are excited to meet this year’s entrants and to help select and celebrate the winners.”

The National Business Women's Awards ceremony will take place at Hilton Wembley on Friday, November 19 2021. For more information on the awards, go to nbwawards.co.uk or call (01908) 542720.
