Opening: The Plant Hut blooms in Bury St Edmunds
Sister to the town's much-loved florist shop The Flower Hut, the indoor plant store has just opened on Baxter Street. Business is blooming, as Velvet reports
With the houseplant market continuing to grow - according to the latest industry reports, 35% of us made a purchase last year - Bury St Edmunds has welcomed its first independent indoor plant shop. Opening last month on Baxter Street in the town, The Plant Hut is sister to The Flower Hut on Angel Hill, long loved for its combination of quality flowers and design flair.
Inspired by the popularity of The Flower Hut’s indoor plant display, the team decided the time was right to open a dedicated shop. “Part of the flower hut family, its style and location complements our brand and we already love it,” they say.
Selling plants of all shapes, size and styles, from dinky cacti and succulents to jungly ferns and monsteras, along with a wide selection of pots and hangers, the team are on hand to give growing advice, too.
They add: “Ours is the first independent indoor plant shop in Bury St Edmunds and our whole team have worked so hard to make it happen; we have the best team! We have had amazing support from our customers, too: fun, dedicated and just the best support for our style of floristry and plant love.”
