Health and Fitness: Louise Cummings gives the lowdown on the latest health news
Fitness DVDs are a really convenient (and free) fitness tool, but if you’re bored of barre and exhausted by HIIT, we’ve got just the thing to put a spring back into your step! Harnessing the magic of musical theatre, song and dance, 567Broadway: A New Musical Workout is the brainchild of choreographer and dancer Joseph Corella. The cardio dance routines are easy-to-learn and set to a toe-tapping soundtrack of Broadway classics including ‘Bend and Snap’ (Legally Blonde), ‘Born to Hand Jive’ (Grease), and ‘You Can’t Stop the Beat’ (Hairspray).
Joseph, who spent 15 years on Broadway, has been spreading his passion for musicals through his high-energy classes for the past three years, and is particularly keen to support the LGBTQ+ community.
“I really wanted to make something that was accessible to everyone and I have certain moves where you can take it up or down a notch. That’s why I have people from 16-75 in my class — all genders, shapes and sizes,” he explains. “Everybody is working together, smiling and having fun. That's what makes it magical.”
Stars of stage and screen Rebel Wilson and Katharine McPhee are already fans.We give it a jazz hands high five!

How delectable do these Superfood Brownies look? Surely they must be choc-full of sugary naughtiness and artificial sweeteners? Thankfully no. Created by The Pregnancy Food Company – a small business which aims to support women through happy, healthy pregnancies - they’re high in protein, to help with repair and recovery from birth or just to get through those early, tricky days with baby. Made from natural and organic ingredients, including antioxidant-rich cacao, avocado, lentils, coconut sugar, nuts and dates, they will nourish mum and baby, and are safe to savour while breastfeeding too.
The Cacao and Orange Nourish Ball sound equally delicious; packed with omega 3 and beta carotene, ideal for baby’s development, they’re handmade, then dipped in a layer of luscious chocolate and rolled in pumpkin seeds. Though they’re designed for pregnant women, they’re suitable for anyone, anytime. Snack-tastic!
