Say hello to good Chi
Meaning both ‘to eat’ and ‘energy’ in Mandarin, Chi is fast becoming known for its traditional-with-a-twist Asian street food.
Arriving at The Grafton’s Food Social late last year, it serves Asian flavours on a base of bao, banh-mi, noodles or rice, with a wide range of sides, snacks and vegan options available too.
“Chi was born from myself and my business partner’s love of Asian food - my dad is Chinese and had restaurants when I was a child,” explains co-founder Aidan Tjinakiet. “We come from corporate restaurant backgrounds and decided it was time for us to do it for ourselves. Our focus is on delivering a family-feel environment with quality, fresh food and great service.”
