They’re already famous for their burgers: juicy pasture-fed patties, crisp streaky bacon, gooey American cheese, squishy milk buns, tangy house sauce. . . And now the team at Cambridge’s Steak & Honour have turned their attention to another fast-food favourite: fried chicken.

Available from the Steak & Honour shop on Wheeler Street and via green delivery service foodstuff, Dot’s Hot Chicken - Nashville-style free-range chicken served on a slice of Grain Culture milk loaf with dill pickles - launched last month with a mini-menu of two items: two-piece Dot’s Twin Set and a 10-piece bucket. Sides include fries, deli slaw and pickle pots.

“Why Nashville style? We wanted to create a different concept from straight-up fried chicken,” say the team. “Nashville-style is super crunchy, super spicy and super delicious! We love it!

Orders should be placed online. To collect from Wheeler Street, order at: order.dotshotchicken.co.uk/basket/new or for direct delivery go to: wearefoodstuff.co.uk
