Food: Turkish Delight
Visit Yakut, the latest addition to The Grafton’s Food Social, and, say the founders, “it’s almost like you’d travelled thousands of miles to visit your Turkish family”. From the menu, filled with authentic flavours, to the atmosphere, complete with traditional Turkish soundtrack, it’s already being hailed “a gem” by fans on social media.
The business started life as BBQ Grill N Bar at Cambridge’s Station Square, but the team decided to rebrand and relocate to The Grafton at the end of last year, impressed, explain bosses, by the centre’s pledge to support local independents within its Food Social floor.
Signature dishes include classic baba ganoush, moussaka, shish and iskender (meat pieces served on a bed of bread, topped with garlic yoghurt and tomato sauce) - and, of course, baklava for dessert.
“Our chef and his passion for delicious food is what makes this restaurant stand out among the many places to eat out in Cambridge,” conclude the Yakut team, “cooking authentic Turkish dishes to such perfection, that once you have had a taste, you will definitely come back for more.”
