Food: Picnic in style with Ely's Graze With Me
With six people now allowed to eat together outdoors, posh picnics have never been more popular. That's where new Ely company Graze With Me comes in
An artfully presented take on the traditional hamper, grazing boards are tipped to be one of this year’s biggest food trends. Conjuring summer race-days and riverside picnics, they span sweet and savoury and are designed to share, explains Libby Tucker, founder of new company Graze With Me.
“The idea came about after I saw a photo online last summer and decided to put one together for my friend’s birthday,” she says. “From that my passion for creating graze boards has grown and grown and now, three weeks into business, I’m wondering why I didn’t start sooner!”
Having lost two jobs due to the pandemic, when Libby was furloughed in February of this year she decided the time was right to follow the advice of her friends and family who, having long benefited from her baking skills, urged her to “bite the bullet and start my own business”.
Though Graze With Me is still young, it’s fast winning fans: as well as offering classic sweet and savoury boards, containing everything from cheese, charcuterie and her own sausage rolls to fruit, cakes and cookies, Libby is producing cake-pop selections and even boards for humans to share with their four-legged friends - you can add a doggy box to any order, containing fruit, veg and specially baked muffins.
All made fresh to order in Libby’s Wicken kitchen, either for collection or local delivery, the boards are customised to your requirements, so prices vary accordingly. The starting price for a sweet selection for two is £22, £28 for savoury. For a menu, more information and to order, visit @_grazewithme_ on Instagram.
