Food: Modern Table's sell-out ready meals are back
Cambridge chef Liz Young is bringing her seasonal ready meal service back by popular demand
With current menu options including a chicken, mushroom and wild garlic pie with sides of mash and green beans and potato cakes stuffed with white beans and feta served with garlic yoghurt, red cabbage and dill, much-loved Cambridge chef Liz Young is bringing her hit Modern Table ready meal service back to town.
Having cut her culinary teeth on Australia’s fine-dining scene - and worked as a private chef on yachts across the world before settling in the UK - Liz relaunched her monthly made-to-order menus in April, having first offered ready meals during the pandemic lockdowns.
“People have been asking, so I thought the time was right for The Modern Table to make a ready meal comeback,” says Liz. “Aiming to beat the mid-week blues, the meals will be going out to customers once a month.” Famed for showcasing the finest in-season ingredients, Liz adds that diners can expect “a variety of dishes, all of them seasonal and packed full of flavour”.
