The Modern Table is popping up at Meadows Cambridge this month
This sounds brilliant. Billed as an “Antipodean-styled brunch”, The Modern Table is popping up at Meadows Cambridge this month. Served in a relaxed environment, complete with communal tables and the Sunday newspapers, chef Liz Young promises to greet diners with freshly-baked goods and bottomless Brew Project filter coffee, before serving up multiple courses, all homemade with in-season produce. You’ll even get a treat to take home.
Liz, who hails from New Zealand and cut her culinary teeth on Australia’s fine-dining scene, worked as a private chef on yachts across the world before settling in Cambridge. She says The Modern Table is “a new direction, reconnecting with my beliefs around food and hospitality as a whole.” Adds Liz: “The aim is to create a whole experience for my guests: good food, focusing on seasonal produce; a friendly and relaxed environment; and a fresh approach.”
The Modern Table Pop-up Brunch takes place at Meadows Cambridge, 31 Eltisley Avenue, Cambridge CB3 9JG on Sunday, March 15, with sittings at 9.30-11.30am and 12-2pm. Tickets cost £28 and should be booked at eventbrite.co.uk
