Event: Newmarket Food & Drink Festival is back!
Last year's event was cancelled by Covid. But Newmarket Food & Drink Festival is back for 2021 - and looking tastier than ever
With live demos from celebrity chefs, a showcase of food and drink from across East Anglia and an historic new venue - the famed Jockey Club Rooms - Newmarket Food & Drink Festival is back with a bang for 2021.
Tristan Welch, of Saturday Kitchen and Cambridge’s Parker’s Tavern, and Rosemary Shrager, of Soapstar Superchef and Ladette to Lady, will be topping the bill at the in-the-flesh event, running September 11 to 12. In addition, organisers plan to host more than 60 artisan producers from across the region, along with a selection of bars, live music and family entertainment.
Says festival chairman Noel Byrne: “The Newmarket Food & Drink Festival team are delighted to be back after the event was cancelled last year due to the pandemic. We are even more excited to be hosting the event at a remarkable new location; it gives everyone a rare chance to see the grounds of The Jockey Club Rooms.”
The festival, which is free and attracted more than 15,000 visitors in 2019, is supported by the Henry Cecil Open Weekend, which takes place the following weekend in and around Newmarket.
