Love chocolate? You’ll love this. . . #CamChocoFest is back, bringing three days of stalls, tastings, talks, workshops and a stellar film screening to the city
Here’s some delicious news. . . Back for a third year, The Cambridge Chocolate Festival returns to the city this Valentine's weekend! Running from February 9 to 11 at the historic Debating Chamber in the Cambridge Union, the programme includes a special appearance and screening by film director and investigative journalist Miki Mistrati, recently selected for the Faces for Human Rights exhibition in Miami, Florida.
Miki will be showing his critically acclaimed film THE CHOCOLATE WAR, shedding a light on child slavery in the cocoa and chocolate industry. It’s a conversation close to festival founder Riadh Falvo’s heart, as a chocolatier. The Friday evening viewing will be followed by a short Q&A, served with a chocolate cocktail in the Keynes Library.
The market and main event will run from 10am to 4pm on the Saturday and Sunday. Alongside chocolate and cake stalls - already confirmed are Truffles and Chocolate, Chocolat Chocolat, Hay Chocolate, Chocolate Seekers, Grandma’s Rolling Pin, Sweet Keto Chef, Rachel Bakes and The Linton Kitchen - visitors can look forward to workshops with Hazel Lee of Taste With Colour, portrait drawing sessions with Sunshine Jo, cute desktop plants and gifts from Small & Green and, new this year, cheese from city deli Meadows.
Riadh is calling for local artists to design a #CamChocoFest logo again this year, with a £350 cash prize going to the winner. Inviting entries from all artists, from students and new graduates to full-time professionals, a shortlist of five designs will be put on display - and to the public vote - at the festival. The winning design will feature as the 2025 #CamChocoFest logo.
Tickets for both the main market (£2) and all events (from £10) are now on sale! Book yours HERE
