“Ten years ago I experienced dramatic hair shedding and didn’t know where to turn. I researched options and discovered trichologists, who are hair and scalp specialists. I was surprised to find out that there were no trichologists based in Cambridge, so I set about on the path to become a Clinical Trichologist.

“I trained at the prestigious Institute of Trichologists, of which I am now an associate, and I hold a Professional Certificate in Skin and Follicle Science from University College Dublin.

“Cambridge Trichology is based in the centre of Cambridge and sees patients experiencing hair loss, scalp problems, and issues with the texture or condition of their hair. I believe in a holistic and science-based approach. Consultations last one hour and involve a full examination of the hair and scalp, plus an in-depth medical history and lifestyle analysis.

“Many people, men especially, don't realise that losing their hair isn't always inevitable and there are always things which can be done. I provide a diagnosis and treatment plan, and work with GPs, referring to dermatologists if necessary. I also provide in-clinic treatments to relieve sore, itchy and flaky scalps, and will be offering specialist hair loss treatments later in the year.”
