July Festival Style Awards: Meet the man named Best Dressed Gentleman at Newmarket
Bury painter and decorator Adam Stewart beat more than 300 hopefuls to take the top spot in the Style Awards’ Best Dressed Gentleman competition at Newmarket’s July Festival today.
Dressed head to toe in ASOS, Adam impressed judges with his lilac suit, pink shirt and silver angel-wing accessories.
"I honestly can’t stop grinning," he said.

"I wasn’t planning to enter at all: I just like to make an effort when I come to the races."
Second place went to Stevenage dad of two Earl Lee, a semi-professional cricketer, in a River Island outfit, while Bury St Edmunds firefighter Phil Weavers, wearing tailor-made Dapper Fox, took third.

The judges - Jon Guelas of boyband United Vibe, John Lewis personal stylist Clara Wardell, official July Festival milliner Ana Pribylova and Velvet’s Alice Ryan - said the gents had raised the sartorial bar for 2019, with sharp tailoring, pastel shades and statement accessories topping the race-day trends.
