Fashion: Second time around via Perth Avenue
Perth Avenue is a new online business selling preloved fashion.
Launched by two friends and neighbours, Sophie Weedon, a photographer, and Petra Hayton, a stylist, who live just outside Newmarket, Perth Avenue sources and sells handpicked and preloved clothes, shoes and accessories.
“As part of our service we also suggest outfits from your wardrobe you might never have put together and then recommend chosen pieces for Perth Avenue to sell on your behalf,” says Sophie.
“Preloved clothing is a very up-and-coming market and the facts relating to how it is helping save the planet is a hot topic right now. Did you know 12.7 million tons of clothing is thrown away each year and ends up in landfill? It’s quite scary but something we can all stop right now.”
Perth Avenue is popping up at two events in December – the Christmas Market at the Granary Barns, Woodditton on Sunday, December 1 and the Christmas Fayre at Lordsbridge Arena, Barton, on Saturday, December 7. See more at perthavenue.com and @1perthavenue
