Fashion: Javelin for men

We bear good fashion tidings for gentlemen readers. Celebrated Bury St Edmunds fashion boutique Javelin is opening a menswear department this month – and we can’t wait to visit.

A clever conversion of the store’s 14th century cellars has created a fabulously elegant space to showcase a range of premium brands, including Polo Ralph Lauren, and a brand new denim studio (@ladies – Polo Ralph Lauren for women will be instore from November).

Javelin is also launching a new lifestyle and gift area at the entrance to the stylish store as part of Javelin’s 30th birthday celebrations. Join in the revels on 10 October at a very chic party – Velvet is, of course, the media partner for the birthday bash.

The event starts at the Abbeygate store where guests will enjoy discounted shopping and cocktails before fizz, canapés and a fashion show at Gastrono-me where a top London DJ will supply sounds and Golden Tickets, sold for £5 each, could lead to prizes of loveliness. Javelin will donate all party and Golden Ticket proceeds to Barnardo’s to support the charity’s Suffolk-based programmes.
