Bare by Vogue Self Tan Foam, £24, barebyvogue.co.uk
Great colour and easy to use, this self-tan brand is enjoying rave reviews and with good reason. The formula contains peptides to smooth and plump skin and goji berry, oatmeal, chamomile, pomegranate and grapefruit to make golden skin look and feel lush. You can buy a tanning mitt, body brush, exfoliating mitt and even self-tan eraser to improve or remove results, but I’ve always managed to avoid looking like a tiger loaf and enjoyed glorious results sans sun.
Mylee Paint It Pastel Gel Polish Quad, £24, mylee.co.uk
Gel nails are part of the holiday package these days and Mylee have all the colours of the rainbow plus tools and nail art kits to create great results at home. The kits that come with curing lamp and all the essentials (gel polishes, lint-free wipes, prep-and-wipe and gel remover) start at £89 so you can create glossy gel nails in the comfort of your own home. These pastel polishes are perfect for summer fun in the sun.
Moroccanoil Treatment, £32.85, lookfantastic.com
An oil-infused hair pioneer product, this original formula can be used as a treatment, or for styling or finishing. The antioxidant-rich argon oil and condition-boosting vitamins treat hair which responds by detangling easily, drying quicker and transforming into shiny, smooth and glossy locks. The lightweight oil is a fabulous friend for dry and damaged hair.
OPV Glitter Gloss, £10, opvbeauty.com
So pretty, who could turn down this glamorous, jewel-finished pot filled with sparkly Glitter Gloss? Not me, obvs. The gloss can be used on the face, eyes, lips or body as a highlighter so perfect as a multi-tasker on a luggage-light trip. Glitter and golden skin are a winning combination.
Christophe Robin Hydrating Leave-In Cream with Aloe Vera, £32.00, christopherobin.co.uk
A useful piece of kit, the lightweight cream is formulated to nourish dehydrated, frizzy, or dull hair with an intense boost of hydration. Organic aloe vera, fermented agave juice and organic cucumber juice provide nurturing antioxidants to repair and bond moisture to the hair fibre, and protect from heat damage – so very handy in the sun. It can be applied to damp or dry hair too and is a wonder for frazzled locks.
Athletia Skin Protection UV Cream with SPF30, £35, athletia-beauty.co.uk
A combination of skin-nourishing and skin-protecting ingredients in a lightweight cream, the green-minded skincare brand’s Athletia cream has a subtly shimmering finish to leave skin looking lustrous. It has a lovely scent of lemon, lemongrass, rosemary, grapefruit and cedarwood that will whisk you away to Provence even if you are staying put this summer.
