Pumpkins aren’t just for Hallowe’en, people: packed with vitamins (A, B2, B3, C), minerals (potassium, magnesium, zinc) and essential fatty acids (omega 3 and 6), the gourd is fast becoming a go-to beauty ingredient.
New from cult K-beauty brand Too Cool For School is this trio of pumpkin products. Though they look - and, in the case of the sleeping pack, in particular, also smell - sweet, don’t be fooled: these products mean business.
A bio-cellulose sheet infused with real gold and pumpkin-extract enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids, the 24K Gold Mask, £8.50, is designed to boost radiance and reduce redness and signs of ageing. A real treat for tired skin, a 15-minute application leaves your face visibly brighter and more hydrated.
The Sleeping Pack (£18.50 for 100ml) uses the same plant-based actives to soothe, smooth and plump skin overnight. In patch testing, it gave impressive and almost instantaneous results, noticeably plumping fine lines.
Finally, the shimmering star of the show, the Purifying 24K Mask (£22.50 for 100ml) puts gold and pumpkin extracts to exfoliating, sebum-flushing effect. A golden cream that sets to a peel-off film, it’s like hitting refresh for your face.
Too Cool For School is stocked at Boots, Petty Cury, Cambridge and beautybay.com
