Current trends meet timeless elegance in Hobbs’ AW19 collection. From fashion-forward blocks of bold colour to enduringly popular polka and floral prints, sharp suiting to ladylike tea dresses, there’s a style to suit every age, size, shape and style. Official clothing partner to Autumn Ladies’ Day, the outfits on these pages were styled by the team at Hobbs Cambridge, on the first floor of the city’s Grand Arcade.

All the hats modelled here are taken from Ana Bella Millinery’s new AW19 collection, designed, says its creator, “for the lady that loves the classic styles and hat shapes – face huggers, big brims and headbands – but with an added style edge and sassy personality”.
An internationally-awarded designer and Resident Milliner at Newmarket Racecourses, Ana’s hats have featured in both Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar and were worn by guests at last year’s Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
“Red wine, dark berry pinks and navy are the key colours in the AW19 collection, with some pops of yellow, and soft velvets, feathers and luxury felt materials feature throughout,” says Ana. “My favourite piece is the elegant navy vintage-shape face hugger, that sits to the side but has a little bit of added edge, thanks to small studded punk spikes.
Ana makes bespoke, ready to wear collections of winter and spring racing headwear from her studio in London, as well as off-the-shelf hats. Ana can help you style your next race-day outfit by dyeing a hat to match or helping choose an off-the-shelf design to suit. A to-hire collection launches soon.
