Velvet Magic Right Through The Weekend
Can you believe it’s Friday already? We really, really can’t! Not only has it been non-stop all week in the Velvet office, but the fun isn’t stopping over the weekend!
The team has been hard at work (as is the Velvet way) visiting the counties best stores, dealerships, homes and even farmlands to bring you the best of what’s on locally.
Georgie and Tom visited Newmarket’s newest Indian restaurant, Montaz, for some exceptional contemporary Asian tasters, while Gemma and her team of stylists, photographers and make-up artists went across to Clarkes of Walsham for the most magnificent photo shoot seen this year.

Friday was a non-stop party as the team whizzed in and out of the office all day long. Georgie and Tom popped along to the Grafton Centre’s Comic Relief Fashion Show AND the Grand Arcade’s Fashion Fiesta in Cambridge (yes two in one day!), while Fiona cruised the streets of Saffron Walden looking for the hottest boutiques on the streets.
Back in the office, the magazine was (and still is!) taking shape! The magical design duo, Dan and Jess, ploughed their way through each page, creating sheer visual genius on each and every page, while John and Eugene kept up the Cubiq front.
But… it doesn’t stop there.
This weekend, all of the lovely Velvet girls will be attending Toni & Guy’s new salon launch in Cambridge.
After closing for seven long weeks we can’t wait to see what has been done to the trademark salon on Bridge Street, I doubt you can either! Make sure you pop along and have a look!
Of course we’re not working all weekend. Oh no! Saturday night will see some extreme team bonding as the crew hit the hottest night on anyone’s calendar – Bounce at Innocence! Role on the weekend…
