Found in the cobbled lanes set behind Newmarket High Street, The Dressing Room offers shoppers the chance to exchange, re-sell or buy designer clothes that are in good condition and less than 3 years old.
“Style doesn’t have to come at a price as we can prove at The Dressing Room,” says store owner, Bev Beak. “I love helping people to look good and am always on hand to offer individual advice on colour and style.”
How does it work?
The Dressing Room will accept quality, freshly laundered and pressed clothing, in good condition and less than 3 years old for re-sale. A selling price will be agreed of which 50% will be given to you when the item is sold.
Then it’s over to us, the lovely shoppers, to delve into the constantly changing stock to find that perfect frock or top we have been searching the high heavens for. It wouldn’t surprise anyone to find that you leave with more than you went with!
Your item will stay in the shop for 6 weeks and if after this time it has not sold it will be returned or passed onto a charity. Payment is made at the end of the 6 week period for items sold.
How do you join in?
Simply take your much loved shoes, handbags and clothing down to the store, or phone to arrange a time to visit. Bev will literally welcome you with open arms, so what’s stopping you?
Dig deep in your wardrobes and we promise that you’ll be surprised what you have hidden back there. Whether it’s a dress you brought in the last hour before your sister’s wedding and have never again laid eyes on, or one of last seasons treasures, a second home awaits just beyond The Dressing Shop’s windows.
