Once a Velvette, always a Velvette!
Once again the mad dash that is our final week of production saw every single member of the team breath a heavy sigh of relief as we checked and double checked every page of the July issue.
The week began with a trip to the Olde Bull Inn at Barton Mills for some out of this world cuisine.
Tom snapped the shots, as Georgie dived in. Both big lovers of food the meal was soon gone, leaving pleasant smiles on both their faces.
Returning back to the office, it was a big team effort to make sure every picture was credited, every article was read and all last final design checks were made, before we packaged it off to the printers.

Another job well done Team Velvet and yet another tantalizing read for our Velvettes!
But as is always the case with the world of publishing, once one magazine is out of the door it is on to the next.
Georgie visited Cambridge’s newest restaurant, The Jolly Scholar, for an evening of networking – much to her delight.
The completely renovated site, formerly The Bun Shop, was absolutely amazing. From the extending king’s table in the meeting room, to the upside down punt fixed to the ceiling, everything echoed the history of Cambridge.
Over the weekend, the team are set to stand proudly at the Two Counties Motor Show dishing out the latest motoring wonder, Cars Magazine, so come and see us!
But, as our regular readers will know, it is not all about work at the Velvet HQ.
Thursday saw the team unite as we said another farewell to our lovely Lucinda. We will miss her dearly, but wish her all the best of luck in her new role.
Joining together for an amazing meal at Montaz Indian Cusine in Newmarket, we all vowed to keep the Velvet spirit alive with constant reunions, nights out and the future instalments of our ‘Come Dine With Me’ evenings.
Once a Velvette, always a Velvette!
