Non Stop Velvet Magic
This week has been a week of madness, mayhem and magic. Never one to sit still, the Velvet team and our work experience lovely, Daisy Rowell, have been working harder than ever before, making one awesome magazine for our lovely readers.
Kick starting the week with a visit to the Newmarket Laser Clinic, Georgie underwent the latest treatment in laser hair reduction.
Never one for too much pain, none of us can hardly believe how much she seemed to love it – there’s even talk of going back! No wonder it seems such a hit with the men and women of Newmarket.
Making a start on our new exclusively male supplement, Him, Daisy took a trip over to the arc shopping centre in Bury St Edmunds to locate the hottest men’s fashion retailers.
Tom “The Flash” Stedman made the place sparkle with his eye for detail, fashion and angles. If you’re stuck for any sort of Father’s Day gifts, the arc is definitely the place to go!
As we’re sure you will have noticed, our wonderful Nest section has been getting bigger and better with every month, and our next issue will be no different.
Joining Mary Wells, owner of Barnsbury Furniture in Soham, for an afternoon tea, Georgie discussed the history behind the local furniture retailer while instantly falling in love with the imaginative brands and products housed inside.
The Velvet Magic continued right through the weekend, as the team vistied Modish Shoes for their grand opening in Cambridge City Centre.
Joined by the cast of The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy, The Tin Man, The Lion and The Scarecrow proved a hit, bringing customers into the store all day long.
Outside of the office, the team continued working hard. Tom finished the final decorations on his masterpiece of a bedroom, while Lucinda and hubby Tim finished their gorgeous back garden patio… oh and congrats to Georgie for completing the Soham Half Marathon!
