Thanks to Newmarket-based IT firm COMPUTERLINKS, you will soon be able to follow the life of Cambridge resident and record holding javelin thrower Goldie Sayers online in the build up to the 2012 London Olympics. 

The team at COMPUTERLINKS, a local distributor of IT security and internet technology solutions, has recently sponsored Goldie and provided her with the resources to keep us up to date with her activities through a blog. The blog will track her progress and achievements and she trains for, and competes in, major international athletics competitions. 

This month, Newmarket born Goldie, 27, was presented with a top-of-the-range Lenova ThinkPad X201 Notebook by David Caughtry, COMPUTERLINKS’ Director of Core Technology. The laptop will help Goldie to keep in touch with family, friends and supporters wherever she is in the world.  “We’re delighted to be able to provide support and encouragement to Goldie,” says David. “She is a role model to our staff, their families and friends because of her determination and dedication to achieving her goals.” 

In turn Goldie, who broke the British record at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and is also an experienced motivational speaker, will support COMPUTERLINKS by featuring in promotional materials for its marketing campaigns and staff recognition schemes.
