Open Studios at Burwash Manor.
The lovely Burwash Manor is hosting a Cambridge Open Studios event on the first four weekends in July from 10am-6pm.
The working organic farm, which is also home to 15 independent shops, a day spa and tea room, will have two artists in residence for all four of the weekends.
Heather Stowell produces eye catching, contemporary jewellery. Her incredible selection of vintage buttons are set in sterling silver to produce unique and fabulous pieces.
Rachel Dormer creates finely thrown porcelain tableware in simple, elegant shapes – and new for 2010 are black stoneware decorative bottles and bowls.
And to complement the Open Studios artists, Burwash Manor is also running a July art exhibition (again, the first four weekends in July). With each artist only showing for one or two of the weeks, there will be a constantly changing array of interesting displays – from contemporary one-of-a kind dolls in vintage fabric to limited edition screenprints, oil paintings to reportage illustrations, and much more...there will be plenty to see, every weekend!
