Doubletree Hilton launches Picnic and Punting packages.
Doubletree by Hilton, Cambridge has launched new tailor-made Punting and Picnic Packages – perfect for a romantic date for two, a family adventure or a larger gathering of friends and colleagues. Customers simply pre-order their gourmet picnic hampers, freshly made by the hotel’s chefs, and board the punt on the hotel riverside for a self-driven or chauffeured cruise. Doubletree by Hilton, Cambridge Punting & Picnic packages are available to hotel guests and non-residents. Each punt accommodates between 2 and 12 passengers.
The Punting & Picnic Package is available beginning at £65.95 for two. In addition to the gourmet picnic hamper and one hour self-driven punt ride, the package also includes punt umbrellas and picnic blankets.
The Ultimate Veuve Clicquot Punting & Picnic Package beginning at £120 for two. Enjoy a chauffeur-driven, 90-minute return cruise, taking in the sites towards Grantchester and relaxing in a distinctive, private Veuve Clicquot punt with a delicious picnic.
Gourmet picnic hampers contents can be customised to suit individual guests’ needs, and may include items from the hotel drinks list such as champagne, jugs of Pimm’s, jugs of iced tea or champagne cocktails. Typical food items items available include:
-Three types of sandwiches (chicken and stuffing, ham and mustard, cheese and pickle)
- Marinated olives
- Melton Mowbray pork pies
- Scotch eggs
- Cherry Bakewell slices
- Fresh strawberries and dipping sauce
- Organic lemonade
- 750ml Bottle of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne (Veuve Clicquot Punt and Picnic package only)
For those who prefer to enjoy a picnic on terra firma, Doubletree by Hilton, Cambridge offers a selection of pre-order picnic hampers, available from £14.95 per person (minimum spend £29.95 for two). These hampers can be enjoyed on the hotel’s Twist Bar terrace or while relaxing in deck chairs on the riverside lawn.
