New eco Mojito bar at Double Tree by Hilton Hotel

Last month, we attended the launch of the Eco Mojito Bar at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, Cambridge. The bar, which is made from an old Cambridge punt, was created by trendy local design agency Create & Communicate and grows its very own mint leaves! On the night of the launch, we were given a talk by Bacardi’s global brand ambassador, Shervene Shahbazkhani, who explained the history of the classic cocktail and taught us how to make the perfect Mojito. One of the key things we learnt from Shervene was the importance of ‘clapping’ the mint leaves in our hands to release the flavour of the mint. This feels a bit strange at first, but it must work, because the Mojitos we made were out of this world! The new Eco Mojito bar is situated in the garden of the Twist Bar at the Doubletree by Hilton, so it’s the perfect place to enjoy some light snacks and drinks by the river. With its unique concept, eco-friendly design and delicious cocktails, we think the new Mojito Bar is going to be very popular indeed.
