May Madness Kick Starts
Not unlike any other week in the Velvet office, we have been giving it our all, with more store openings, evening launches and outings than ever before!
Today marked the monthly magazine convoy, as the Velvet cars piled out of the car park loaded with our treasured publication. With the amount of Mini’s involved you’d be forgiven for thinking we were re-enacting a scene from The Italian Job.
The two burly boys of the office, Tom and Dan, tackled the region’s outskirts, whilst Fiona, Jess and Georgie dived headfirst amongst our gorgeous shops and eateries.
Of course we’ve not been sitting around waiting for the mags to arrive – far from it.
Monday marked the return of an old face to the Velvet team, as Andy Bellamy rejoined the sales team.
Lucinda and Georgie spent an eventful evening with the wonderful team at Sahara to celebrate the opening of their new store in Bury St Edmunds. The atmosphere was electric, with champagne flowing and nibbles throughout, all in the presence of Bury’s Mayor Cllr Ian Houlder.
Friday marked yet more excitement as the Velvet girls visited the newly refurbished White Hart Hotel in Newmarket. The crowds became enticed as beat boxing legends, Duke, took to the stage. We still do not know how those boys make the beats they do!
In the office, the team were steaming forward into May’s line up. Meetings were held, the plan of attack set, leaving us all raring to go.
Outside of the office the fitness regimes continued. Lucinda started her beach body work out, visiting the finest gym Bury has to offer, whilst Georgie and Tom continued to pound the streets.
As our diary’s begin to fill up and the magazine line up looks even hotter than the last you can imagine that atmosphere in the office as the sun finally came out to play. All we can say is – amazing.com.
