Love Is In The Air...
It’s all go, go, go in the Velvet office this week. Not only have our lovely design due, Dan and Jess, been creating the masterpiece that is the magazine, but our ad girls, Lucinda and Fiona, have been out and about looking for the latest trends and hot gossip.
Monday welcomed our first restaurant review, and, how could we forget, Valentine’s day. Fiona had an unexpected present delivered to the office (lucky girl!) while Dan took the day off to treat his girlfriend to a day out in London.
Georgie and Tom were treated to a delicious meal courtesy of The Ickworth Hotel and Apartments, which can only be described as out of this world! Trust us when we say you mouth will literally water when you see the snaps in next month’s mag!
Of course, we can’t go on without mentioning the arrival of our new intern, Maria Hannah Bass, who we are lucky enough to have for two days a weeks over the next few months. We promise to work her socks off – so look out for her work in upcoming issues!
We visited the infamous Tuddenham Mill for yet more outstanding food – and, boy, do we mean outstanding. The unique menu contained food combination you would never have dreamt of, but as a top tip, try the coriander ice cream, it is absolutely to die for!
On Wednesday Georgie was put to the test with a 3D eye scan courtesy of the newly refurbished Scott’s Eyecare in Newmarket, while Lucinda and Fiona paid a visit to our fabulous friends at La Hogue.
Back at the office, the phones have been ringing off the hook with final confirmations, checks and double checks as the magazine slowly comes to life. The pure genius that is our design team have really pushed the boat out, and continue to amaze us all on a daily basis.
With only a few days left before the magazine goes to print, we don’t want to give all the surprises away, so that’s it from us this week!
