Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Saffron Walden and Ely's premier lifestyle magazine

Fitness Frenzy

With the Christmas break less than a month away, it’s suddenly hit home how much work there is to do!

Always sending January’s magazine to print before we break up for the festive period we now have not one, but TWO magazines to get to the printers – pressure.com.

Of course, in the true Velvet way, we have taken it all in and have hit the ground running to bring you the most up-to-date news and gossip surrounding our area over the festive period and New Year.

Monday saw the arrival of our latest intern, Andrea, for the ESL Language School in Cambridge who will be with us for three weeks learning a little bit more about the office culture in the UK – fingers crossed she doesn’t pick up any bad habits!

Tuesday saw Tom and Georgie venture over to one of Camrbidge’s hottest restaurants, The Castle, to review one of their popular Jazz Nights.

Not only was the music amazing, but the food was too!

Tucking into a bowl full of oysters and pork, the troublesome two had a great night and are looking forward to going back soon.

The rest of the week formed one meeting after another, with Tom visiting the amazing Olde Bull Inn to snap some of the delicious dishes on offer, while Rachel attended the Bury St Edmunds’ Lights Switch.

With only one week to go until the first of our two print deadlines, we are set to work all through the weekend… Only the fun bits of course!

Tomorrow, Georgie looks set to attend another bounding from the magnificent Energize Fitness Days as she attends one of the teams half day work outs.

With the weather turning that little bit colder this week, we’re keeping our fingers crossed she’ll make it through!
