Fashion Fiesta

Ok, ok so fiestas often conjure up images of scantily clad women, sunning themselves in warmer climates amidst loud and energizing music -which is not quite the image of the Velvet office this week, but not far from it.

Instead the office has been working up a heat as we neared this month’s print deadline.

Monday welcomed the team back from much needed weekend break, ready and waiting for all that the sales team could conjure up.

Tuesday saw Georgie visit the wonderful Cambridge-based salon, Elegance, to catch up with the salon owner while the team continued the impressive task of bringing the Velvet brand to life.

Adding the finishing touches, the team worked well into the night as Gemma and Rachel ventured to one of Cambridge’s hottest fashion shows.

Held at The Jolly Scholar in Cambridge, guests were wow’d by a stream of gorgeous vintage frocks, all available from Boudoir Femme in Cambridge.

Showcasing 16 gorgeous outfits by the likes of By Malene Birger, Chie Mihara and Handwritten, the girls were walking on Cloud Nine by the time they left… so much so Gemma simply had to treat herself to the stunning Vadum silk black dress.

As Thursday arrived we were (for once) well and truly ready to go to print.

The absolute most festive issue you will ever see look out for our customised festive front cover – we absolute love it!

Outside of the office, Rachel attended the ‘our bury st edmunds’ Christmas party, wining and dining with the crème de la crème of Bury St Edmunds, while Georgie enjoyed an action packed weekend celebrating her little brothers 21st birthday.

With Christmas now just a month away, preparation for our work’s night out is nearly complete… who’s up for Secret Santa??
