Falling in Love
It’s weeks like this that we all love working for Velvet Magazine.
Spending one afternoon this week floating along the River Cam in a punt taking photographs for the latest photo shoot, we can no deny it; the Velvet life is a good life.
Launching into the week full steam ahead with a visit to Millie childrenswear store in Bury St Edmunds, Tom and Georgie enjoyed a tour around the unique boutique learning about all that owner Charlotte has in store for the upcoming months.
With so many wonderful products on offer it’s no wonder our tiny tots are some of the best-dressed kids on the block!
Monday also saw the arrival of our latest work experience lovely, Esme Burden, who joined us for the week. As a resident Saffron Waldener, Esme has not only bought her writing skills to the table, but her in depth knowledge of the local area.
Look out for her literary talents in October’s magazine!
Tuesday saw the lovely owner of Love Clothes Shopping enter the office to reveal the magic behind her new shopping website. Honestly, if you’re struggling to find clothes to suit your body shape, visit the Love Clothes Shopping site – everyone in the office (boys included!) love it!
Wednesday was when it all hit home. Floating along the river directing this month’s photo shoot, Tom and Georgie enjoyed an afternoon snapping some of the latest trends to hit Cambridge this season.
With full hair and make-up provided by the talented trades housed within The Grafton Centre and the expert skills of models Oli and Francesca, the shoot looked amazing.
Back in the office, the phones continued to ring off the hook as bookings were taken for October’s issue, the design team carried on creating truly inspiration pieces and editorials were written.
Our newest designer recruit Sophie Barnes looks forward to a week off next week with so many activities planned, including her graduation, a trip to Jimmy’s Farm and to see the wonderful Adele in action.
