Complete Indulgence

Venturing out into the depths of Cambridge city centre last month, I was less than aware of the pleasures that awaited me inside the glass fronted palace that is the Clarins Spa.

Stepping inside, I was immediately met by the smiling faces of the immaculately dressed therapists waiting to take through their next client.

Escorted upstairs by my chosen therapist, the spa seemed almost endless as we worked our way through a maze of corridors and therapy rooms, the entire building was truly beautiful.

Having opted to sample Clarin’s newest treatment, the TriActive Body Sculptor, I simply couldn’t wait to get started.

Beginning with a consultation and skin analysis, my therapists worked her way expertly around my body noting places of dry skin and excess puffiness.

Talking me through each stage of the treatment I felt a complete sense of bliss as my therapist applied an intensive peeling lotion to cleanse and exfoliate my body ready for the massage and body mask that followed.

Drifting off into a land far away I couldn’t help but feel a little in love with everything that the Spa had to offer.

Stocking an extensive range of the Clarins products used by many of our local beauty fanatics and offering an extensive collection of beauty services from the more staple services to luxurious treatments, it was no wonder the Spa had proven such a hit since arriving in Cambridge over three years ago.

Joined to one of the city’s most prominent department stores, John Lewis, the Spa truly has become a centre point for anyone looking for a little bit of down time after the mad Christmas rush.

As my attention turned back to the treatment in hand I found myself struggling to stay awake. My body felt as though it was slowly sinking further into the comfortable table.

Wiping clean my skin from the contouring gel-mask, my therapist then treated my entire body to an all over de-stressing massage.

Pushing, pulling and needing away any tightness in my skin I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to have received such a treatment.

Finally opening my eyes after the gentle hands of my masseuse slipped away I realised I had drifted off into a deep slumber… how embarrassing!

I honestly can’t express how amazing the whole experience was. Whether you’re looking for the perfect present this Valentine’s or simply looking to treat yourself to the ultimate gift of relaxation, I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather go than the gorgeous world of Clarins in Cambridge.
