Busy Times at Velvet HQ
What a week! Two new members of staff, days to go until the Velvet Awards evening AND a birthday!
Monday saw the arrival of our new Sales Executive Lee Moss who has been working his magic across the Bury St Edmunds patch meeting and greeting all in the lead up to our September issue.
Cubiqdesign welcomed our star work experience lovely, Sophie Barnes, into the team as she was given the seal of approval and a permanent position! Woop!
Georgie and Rachel set about finalising the last invitation list, as the phones rang off the hook with people looking to an invite to what is becoming the most talked about event of the year (literally!)
With September’s issue proving to live up to its impressive page count from previous years, Georgie and Tom have not been able to sit still all week as they’ve moved from one appointment to the next.
Tuesday saw the duo visit the outstanding wedding venue that is Quy Mill Hotel to look around the recently refurbished bar area and ceremony rooms.

Wednesday welcomed a trip to one of Velvet’s favourite holistic therapies clinic, Equilibrium Wellbeing, as Georgie learnt about the different treatments available from owner Sue Cox in her intimate salon.
With so much going on it was almost unbelievable that we managed to fit in yet another visit – but we are soooo glad we went.
Recently refurbishing one of the upstairs room of their Newmarket store, Anne Furbank has launched the first designer designated room to house their wonderful Joseph Ribkoff range - it is amazing.
This week has also been the last week for one of our favourite designers, Dan THE man. Boo!
He's been with the company for three years, making the best cups of tea known to man kind and keeping us all a float in times of desperation.
We will miss him, but wish him well in his new career!
Outside of the office the team look forward to rallying round our two favourite boys, Tom and Dan, as Tom celebrates his 27th birthday this weekend and we say those last goodbyes to Dan.
With an action packed night planned at Innocence Nightclub in Newmarket we’re all more than a little excited, so make sure you tune in next week for all the gossip! xx
