Birthday Celebrations All Round
This time of the month seems to come around so quickly! How is it delivery day again? None of us can quite believe it!
This week has been a non-stop roller coaster as we tried to get back into work mode after yet another glorious long weekend.
Tuesday saw the return of Georgie from her holiday in Spain, while the rest of the team swapped stories of their bank holiday adventures.
Already well on the way with July’s issue, the editorial team met to finalise the next issue, preparing the sales team and designers for the tasks ahead.
The non-stop phones calls, emails and outings made the office seem busier than ever before, as we all worked our socks off planning the next photo shoot, editorial inclusions and advert briefs.
Georgie visited the wonderful world of Engerize Fitness Days in Bury St Edmunds, to put her fitness to the test... everyone in the office has since heard how painful it was!
As June’s issue of Velvet arrived on our doorsteps, the team pulled together arranging drop offs and car shares for our monthly event.
The troublesome duo, Jess and Fiona, were joined by Cubiqdesign’s latest intern Jamie McAleese, in Cambridge City Centre, while the burly boys, Tom and Dan, tackled the outskirts.
Georgie and Lucinda went solo, visiting their usual haunts in Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds, while John and Eugene tackled the outskirts.
Outside of the office it was birthday celebrations all round.
Lucinda and boyfriend, Tim, took a well deserved break to celebrate Tim’s 30th birthday with a weekend long boat trip, while the gorgeous Fiona celebrated her 22nd birthday in style.
But that’s not all! The team indulged in some well-deserved drinks after work, as we mused over the last month even more fun times ahead...
